Charlie_Miller_218x240Charlie has been with the Company since 2012, and previously served as Chief Analyst.

As the senior leader in Mission Essential’s Intelligence Solutions business, Charlie manages a portfolio of intelligence programs, develops market strategy in the Intelligence Community, and is responsible for growing Mission Essential’s intelligence line of business. While serving as Chief Analyst, Charlie established Mission Essential’s professional development program and was responsible for establishing tradecraft and analytic integrity standards.

Prior to joining Mission Essential, Charlie worked for CENTRA Technology, Inc. where he developed new business and managed a wide range of programs for a variety of US national intelligence and security customers. These programs principally focused on military capabilities, counterterrorism, and cultural issues and often involved developing unique analytic methodologies and collection strategies. During his eight years at CENTRA, Charlie conceptualized and led several major analytic efforts for Department of Defense assessing key ‘hard target’ countries’ military capabilities.

Charlie is a retired U.S. Army Foreign Area Officer and former Infantry Officer; he has led, mentored, and managed hundreds of civilians, military, and foreign nationals and developed training programs on a wide variety of subjects ranging from desert survival to advanced analytic techniques. Prior to his retirement from the Army, he held pivotal positions on the National Intelligence Council and in the Defense Intelligence Agency, guiding the production of numerous Intelligence Community analyses and conceptualizing and managing programs to improve interoperability with key regional allies. Charlie has extensive experience in intelligence production and expertise developing unique approaches to collection and analysis.

Charlie earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Masters of Arts Degree in East Asian Studies from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. He attended a variety of U.S. Army leadership and professional development schools and attended the Republic of Korea Army Staff College.
