Mission Essential Announces 4X Increase in Donation to Cancer Research, Supports Recovering Veterans

COLUMBUS, OH – Mission Essential today announced a nearly four-fold increase in this year’s contribution to Pelotonia, the annual bike ride that sponsors life-saving cancer research. The Mission Essential Peloton raised over $121,000 for this, the Company’s signature charitable event.  Mission Essential has sponsored a Peloton since 2011, and this year its Peloton was comprised of 29 riders, 11 of which were cyclist-veterans from Ride 2 Recovery, a non-profit organization that supports cycling as a means to improve the health and wellness of injured veterans.

“Words can’t really capture how proud I am of our team,” said Mission Essential CEO, Peter Horvath. “Everyone with Mission Essential, whether they rode, fundraised, or cheered, is very proud of this accomplishment.”

An account of the ride can be read here. Mission Essential is committed to Pelotonia, Ride 2 Recovery, and the goal of ending cancer, shown beautifully in this official video from Pelotonia.
