Mission Essential Helps Healing Heroes with $25K Donation to Ride 2 Recovery
LAS VEGAS, NV – Mission Essential today announced a $25,000 donation to Ride 2 Recovery (R2R) – a non-profit organization that supports cycling as a means to improve the health and wellness of injured veterans. Mission Essential’s CEO, Peter Horvath, presented a check at the R2R Honor Ride on November 9th in Las Vegas.
“Mission Essential has supported the warfighter abroad since 2004 and is now supporting the warfighter at home with R2R,” said CEO Peter Horvath. “In the few months since we started working with R2R, I’ve been consistently impressed with the determination, intensity, and sense of teamwork of their group. These healing heroes bring the same sense of commitment and perseverance to their rides as they did to fighting for freedom. They are an inspiration.”
“Ride 2 Recovery is honored to partner with Mission Essential as we continue on our mission to help injured veterans heal physically and mentally through cycling,” said John Wordin, Ride 2 Recovery founder and president. “We welcome them as a new partner to the R2R family and look forward to their support for providing more opportunities for injured active duty service members and veterans through the challenge of cycling using hand cycles, recumbents, tandems, and road bikes.”
Supporting veterans groups has long been a staple of charitable giving at Mission Essential. Mission Essential was founded by two veterans 2004 and about 30 percent of its corporate associates are veterans having formerly served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
